Anthro Corporation, the Oregon-area manufacturer of modular furniture for technology, presents the new redesigned Carl’s Table; an integrated work environment that is an ideal workplace for soft copy reading in all radiology environments. The new Carl’s Table was made with guidance and close cooperation from radiologists all over the United States.

Anthro Corporation is now manufacturing, selling and shipping Carl’s Table (in the European market known as the AW-170 table) to all radiology markets, including hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers, as well as to the veterinary and dental markets.

The new Carl’s Table now holds up to four monitors on arms that can be pulled closer to the radiologist for close reading. Carl’s Table has a motorized adjustable height work surface that will now lower the work surface to 25.5”, and raise the work surface up to a standing position as high as 50”. The tilt adjustment facilitates all individual work positions, sitting or standing. The tilting surface supports the forearm and shoulders, dramatically decreasing the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.

A large “Coffee Surface”, a side shelf for personal items, can now be mounted either to the left or to the right of the work surface. Carl’s Table comes standard with one CPU Holder, but a second CPU holder can be purchased as an accessory, and will fit on the opposite side of the table from the first CPU Holder.

Glare-free back lighting is achieved with the stations integrated automatic light correction. Automatic sensors point to specific monitors to respond to the light density of the image on each monitor. In manual mode, the rear and front task lights can be dimmed independently, and the front task lights are on a goose-neck arm, providing ultimate flexibility in adjustment.

The rear panel is easily removed for access to monitors, cables and power outlets. Carl’s Table comes with 14 electrical outlets, 10 outlets are on the rear and 4 outlets are accessible at the front of the table.

The sound absorbent and lit background screen is now darker in color, and provides an undisturbed and private work environment.

Anthro Corp., was founded in 1984 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Tektronix, and became an independent company in 1988. Anthro is a leading manufacturer of furniture for technology for the medical, business, engineering, government, education, and home markets.
