Anthro Corporation, the Portland, Oregon, manufacturer of ergonomic radiology furniture, announces a new member of the Carl’s Table® Family, CT Cart, available Fall, 2009. CT Cart is a heavy-duty adjustable-height cart for mobile radiology reading stations in the operating rooms, emergency departments, and patient treatment rooms.

Designed to support up to two large PACS monitors, the CT Cart incorporates a robust 70mm pneumatic cylinder which provides constant force and makes the cart surface easy to raise and lower. The cylinder lifts 35-50 lbs. and the cart supports 150 lbs. overall.

With a height range of 32.5”-49”, CT Cart can be used standing, sitting, and at patient bedside, and large 4” casters move the cart smoothly. Monitor mounts include tilt-and-pivot knuckles so monitors are easy to adjust. Two styles of monitor mounts are available – single (supports monitors up to 22 lbs), and dual (supports two monitors up to 22 lbs each).

Options include a retractable keyboard platform, 19” x 11”, which holds keyboard and mouse, and the 18” wide rounded handle which makes CT Cart very easy to move. Security devices such as locks for laptops, CPUs, and monitors are also available.

The optional cable management system protects equipment as the cart is adjusted up and down. Cords and cables are routed through an articulating track that prevents cords from being overextended and from being snagged. A ventilated steel enclosure behind the height-adjustment column encloses excess cords and includes installation points for a surge protector or power strip.

The shelves on CT Cart are made of 1”-thick MDF board and are membrane-pressed with a horizontal-grade 3D laminate. Smooth radiused edges provide a comfortable work surface. Three shelf colors are available – Carl’s Table Dark Grey, Wenge, and Maple. The metal is steel with a durable powder-coat finish in a Dark Silver Metallic color. A 70mm pneumatic cylinder provide a rigid locking in any position. Large 4” hard rubber casters make the cart easy to move even when fully loaded. CT Cart carries a two-year warranty on the pneumatic cylinder and a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects.

Anthro Corp. was founded in 1984. Anthro designs, manufactures, and markets furniture only for high-tech equipment and provides solutions for the engineering, business, medical, government, and education markets.
