Anthro Corporation, Portland, Oregon, manufacturer of medical equipment carts and lab furniture, announces the introduction of the new Zido Phlebotomy Cart, an adjustable-height cart with secure storage and a very compact footprint. Designed specifically for phlebotomists in hospitals and clinical labs, the new Phlebotomy Cart provides a place for vials, sharps, gloves, and labels. The new cart is being introduced at AACC in Los Angeles, CA and is immediately available.

The Phlebotomy Cart's adjustable-height cylinder inside the column easily lifts the shelf 30"-40" high with the squeeze of the paddle. The cylinder balances loads of 16-30 lbs, and the cart supports 150 lbs overall. The column itself features holes in 1" increments for installation of the glove box holder and a tray for a sharps container.

Based on the successful Zido family of small carts, Phlebotomy Cart features a robust cast-metal base that makes the cart very stable, and the large 4" casters make the cart easy to maneuver, even in and out of elevators and over thresholds. Compatible with Zido family accessories, Phlebotomy Cart is also available "a la cart" so hospitals can configure the cart with options that match their requirements.

Phlebotomy Cart's contoured top features a 1/2" high lip all around the shelf to keep vials and supplies in place while the cart is moving. The seamless finish makes the shelf easy to keep clean, and the smooth edges are comfortable for patients.

The locking drawer on the phlebotomy cart measures 14-3/4" wide, 8-3/4" deep, 5-3/4" high to hold all standard vials. The keyed lock secures contents to protect privacy. The drawer body travels in and out on smooth ball-bearing glides, and the wide front grip makes it easy to grab.

Phlebotomy Cart also comes with the 17" wide cast aluminum Zido Handle to make the cart easy to steer, and the Glove Box Holder (11.5"w x 3.5"d x 4.5"h) attaches to the cart's column to keep gloves very accessible.

Phlebotomy Cart shelves are made of 1" thick medium-density fiber board with a contoured thermoplastic laminate that wraps the shelf in a smooth, seamless finish that resists cracking and chipping and stands up to a wide range of chemicals. Metal components are made of 16-gauge steel with a baked-on powder coat finish, and the cart rolls on 4" hard rubber twin-wheel casters.

Made in the USA, Phlebotomy Carts carry a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects; the adjustable-height column is warranty for five years.
