More and more companies around the country are becoming dog-friendly, allowing their employees the benefit of bringing their pets to work. Office dogs can increase morale and productivity by helping employees get up and get moving throughout the workday.
Here are five ways an office dog can help you move more, as shown by Dustin, Anthro’s tradeshow coordinator, with help from our pugs-in-residence, Ruffles and Dolly. No pugs were harmed in the creation of these photos/videos.
Ready, Set, Go!
We’ve all heard the whole “skip the elevator, take the stairs” spiel, but everything’s more fun (read: motivating) when it’s a competition. So, round up your pup and see who can make it up the stairs the fastest.
Go get it! (Or not…)
Playing catch with your pup is one of the easiest ways to take a quick break and get moving. However, if your pup is not catch-inclined, find a tree to climb!
Now, this may or may not be applicable depending on the size, temperament and overall willingness of your pup to act as a barbell. But if your beloved pet is agreeable, a couple reps of him or her will leave you feeling a little bit stronger and much more awake.
