Introducing the MoveMore Movement

by Maggie Summers | 3/19/2014 12:02:33 PM | 0 comments
It all started with a simple truth…

Newton’s first law of motion tells us that a body in rest tends to stay in rest, and a body in motion tends to stay in motion. As we all know: a body that stays in motion is a healthy one. Ergonomics tells us how sit and how to stand to avoid discomfort and injury, but in truth, any static position is the enemy, whether that is sitting or standing. The most important thing is to move more during the day. Stand up, sit down, stand up, walk around. Keep your body in motion, and it will stay in motion.

Sounds easy enough, right? Not always; sometimes it takes a little bit of motivation to get moving (especially during the work day), which is why we’re introducing our MoveMore website!

Explore our standing desk families, and peruse a library of resources (blog posts, Infographics, calculators, videos, playlists, etc.) that will help inspire you to move during the day.

Put simply: Ergonomics is old school; MoveMore instead. Anthro is proud to welcome you to the MoveMore movement! Now, please: Move to your heart’s content.

Maggie Summers writes about educational technology, healthcare IT, and healthy living for Anthro Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of furniture for technology in Portland, OR.
