What’s your position at Anthro, and how long have you worked here?
I’m a Receiving Clerk, and I’ve been here for 8 ½, almost 9 years now.
What’s your favorite thing about Anthro?
The products are outstanding, and the people are incredible.
Tell us something that happened while working here that you haven’t forgotten.
I was born and raised in Hawaii, and something people might not know about Hawaii is that spam is king. It’s one of my favorite foods. A former coworker, Jan Cade, actually called me “Spammy” because of how much I love it.
So, a few years back we had a company cookout, and I made spam burgers for everyone! First, I marinated the spam in a teriyaki sauce, and then topped the burgers with cheese and pineapple. They were delicious, and a big hit with my coworkers.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
Two things: I went to college to be a minister, and I’m the only male in the Kekua clan that does the Hula!
I did a little more digging, and another thing many people don’t know about Patrick is that he plays the ukulele. We asked him to play us a little something, and he played us a song for Mother's Day! Watch:
Check back next month for another Q&A with another Anthro employee. In the meantime, meet Michael Morris!
