  • About Anthro

    Anthro started in 1984 with the plan of making furniture only for technology. Technology has changed significantly since then, but our focus hasn’t. All these years later, we are still designing and manufacturing furniture for technology challenges from our Tualatin, Oregon, headquarters.

    We manufacture our products the old-fashioned way: we make them ourselves. Our state-of-the-art equipment processes raw materials into finished goods in just 2 to 5 days! Our fabrication and assembly routines are environmentally friendly and certified by ISO, UL, and ETL.

    Our furniture solutions are used in healthcare, education, government, and business markets. Plus we offer custom solutions for OEM markets, especially for medical equipment manufacturers.

    In 2015, we were acquired by Minnesota-based Ergotron, Inc., a global designer and manufacturer of technology furniture and mounts for computer monitors, notebooks, tablets and other devices, flat panel displays and TVs. Please visit www.ergotron.com for more information.

  • We are Green!

    For a sixth year, Anthro was named one of the Best Green Companies to work for in Oregon, placing #24 in 2015!

    Anthro has always recognized the need to shrink the company’s carbon footprint. The company’s “Green Team” encourages and challenges our internal practices and increased recycling to achieve a zero landfill goal:

    • Over 70% of waste materials are recycled – wood fiber and sawdust, steel, plastics, shrink wrap, and cardboard.
    • All materials are recycled locally.
    • Anthro’s products incorporate steel made with more than 30% recovered materials.

    Many Anthro products meet the international standard for Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) to reduce their use in manufacturing and to keep those substances out of landfills.

    Here at Anthro, we love the Earth. We aim to use less and recycle more.
