Complete Work Surface Adjustment
When you work for long periods of time at a workstation that does not address proper
positions of your body, you put yourself at a great risk for expensive and painful
musculoskeletal injuries. Orthopedic surgeons and other work injury experts say
a 90° angle in the arms and legs is the best when working at a desk. It is also
vital to vary your position as much as possible during the day.
With Carl's Table's motorized adjustment, you can raise,
lower and tilt your work surface to a position that provides the best support for
your shoulders, neck, wrists, and back. With a touch of a button, the height adjusts
from 28.5 to 48.5" so you can work sitting or standing. You can even completely
recline while looking at your monitors. The main work surface, monitors, lights
and privacy panel can be electrically tilted from 0° to 15° on the CT03 model. The
CT08 offers the same comfort adjustments but also adds the new Monitor Control System
tm, which moves independently of the work surface. (Hover over our Monitor Control

Integrated Lighting System
Carl's Table's Integrated Lighting makes it independent of the existing
light in the room. The Integrated Lighting System has sophisticated sensors that
automatically increase or dim Carl's Table lights to maintain an appropriate
contrast ratio between the image on the monitor and the surrounding light, so it
dramatically reduces eyestrain and fatigue. You can also control the lighting yourself
by turning
it to the manual setting.
In addition, both CT03 and CT08 come with two LED task lights on 12" flexible goosenecks
that can be moved to where you need light the most.
Monitor Control System™
Carl's Table's new Monitor Control System quietly but quickly moves your
bank of up to 4 monitors forward/backward and up/down with a touch of a button.
When you're sitting at the Table, and you've adjusted your work surface
to just the right height and tilt with a press of a button, it is almost a guilty
pleasure to then press another button to move all of your monitors, in tandem, to
exactly where you want them. You can also manually adjust the tilt of the monitors.
The monitor mounts can be installed at any spacing in 1" increments, so the monitors
can be as close together as you wish. The Monitor Control System comes equipped
for 3 monitors. An optional Arm Extension will hold an additional PACS monitor.

Programmable Presets
If you share a work station with others, think how nice it would be to have it remember
you so you would not have to adjust it each time you sit down. With 99 presets,
Carl's Table will remember exactly how you like your work surface, and will
quickly adjust to your favored position. (available on CT08 only)
Air Circulation System
Enjoy gentle airflow that refreshes you while you work. Two adjustable vents at
each side of the Table keep the air moving when you need to concentrate the most.
The subtle air is turned on and off manually, so it is one more way you can control
the environment in your work area. (available on CT08 only)
USB Hub
Plug up to 3 peripherals—like laptops, memory sticks, MP3 players—into the easy
accessed ports located on the work surface. (available on CT08 only)
Power Outlets
Both Carl's Table's have plenty of places to "plug in". CT03 has nine power
outlets in the rear of Carl's Table for CPU's, monitors and other equipment.
In the front there are four power outlets that you can easily access for equipment
like PDA's and cell phone chargers. CT08 has the same nine in the rear, four
on the Monitor Control System and four more under the Coffee Surface.
Sound and Privacy Control
The 28" tall panel shields you from distractions behind and to the side of your
monitors so you can concentrate better. Its curved shape and interior fabric cover
diminish noise up to 35% plus reduces glare.
CPU Holders
The CPU Holder keeps your hard drive out of the way and off the floor. Install it
on the left or right side of the table. Each Carl's Table comes with one Standard
CPU Holder. Add a second holder, either the Standard or the Super, or replace the
Standard version with the Super.
Standard: supports up to
50 lbs; expands to hold boxes from 7"w x 12"h to 10"w x 22"h.
Super: supports up to 75 lbs; expands to hold boxes from 6.75"w
x 17.5"h to 8.5"w x 22"h.
Cable Management
With a grommet on the top, roomy trays in the rear, and Carl's Table's signature
Cable Wrap winding down in back, your power cords, networking cables and transformer
bricks will be tidy and out of sight.
Safety System
With so many moving parts on CT08, we gave it lots of features that make it very
safe to use. Safety stops engage when the table meets resistance when going down
or tilting. For the height & tilt presets, the buttons must be pressed in order
for the table to move. The table stops moving the moment you stop moving the buttons.
Safety features on the Monitor Control System include safety plates to cover pinch
points under the work surface and at the back of the table. Also, the bottom of
the monitors tilt when they reach an obstacle and the smooth start/stop movement
lets you ease the monitors into place.
Foot Rest
Use this sturdy footrest to alleviate pressure on your lower back. Mount it on the
left or the right, and swing it out of the way when not in use.
Coffee Surface
We called this non-tilting shelf the Coffee Surface because it is a great home for
things you don't want tilting with the rest of the Table—like filled-to-the-brim
coffee cups. It can be mounted right or left and it's a great spot for your
telephone.
Non-Skid Surface
The work surface is covered with a stain-resistant micro-fiber material that keeps
your keyboard and mouse (even pencils and pens) in place when the surface is tilted.
The pad is hard enough to write on easily and soft enough to provide a comfortable
place to rest your forearms and wrists.
Soothing Colors
Carl's Table lives comfortably in any reading room. Its calming colors of cool
blues and grays reduce glare, eliminate visual competition with your images, and
create a peaceful oasis during your long day.
Verté® Chair
The Verté Chair creates quite a stir whenever someone sees it. It really is a true
