Anthro Radiology Desk Blends Comfort and Utility
Complete radiology reading desk specifically targets healthcare imaging needs
Portland, OR, May 4, 2015
— Anthro Corporation, a manufacturer of functional furniture for technology, is now shipping the Carl’s Table® CT15
adjustable radiology desk. The CT15 is a complete work area solution with precise and extensive personal adjustments, keeping radiologists comfortable and productive when dealing with X-rays in dimly lit, shared radiology rooms.
“The Carl’s Table CT15 was designed from the ground up to meet the needs of radiologists and to be user-friendly and intuitive,” said Julia Griffiths, Product Manager at Anthro. “We applied everything we’ve learned about monitor support for diagnostic displays, resulting in features that make the desk and displays even easier to install and reposition along the array.”
The Carl’s Table CT15 has multiple areas of adjustment for fine-tuned user comfort. Adjustments are made quickly and easily, making it ideally suited for radiologists in shared workspaces. The desk height and degree of tilt can be changed on the fly, with the touch of a button, for sitting, standing or reclining. The height and depth of the displays are adjusted electrically to achieve the ideal focal depth and encourage regular repositioning, which reduces eye fatigue.
“Some manufacturers in this space try to repurpose sit/stand tables for radiology,” continued Griffiths. “Anthro’s Imaging Solutions are designed from the ground up specifically for healthcare imaging, so they have the monitor support and cable management that this distinct application requires and deserves.”
The Monitor Easy Track is an updated design that uses a dual boom to form a seamless monitor array. An Adaptive Lighting System shines light on the back panel behind the displays adjusts brightness manually to achieve the optimal contrast ratio and reduce eye strain. The desk’s smooth finish has no hard edges so it’s comfortable, and the streamlined design avoids looking bulky.
